Dear Jon Hirsh
6 years ago today
to the sound of singing whales
and warm Hawaiian waves
I took your hand
And now today
to the sound of howling gales
and cold snowy ice caves
I take your hand

again

Happy Anniversary
Love Leslie

The Beauty Of Death by Kahlil Gibran

I have passed a mountain peak and my soul is soaring in the firmament of complete and unbound freedom;
I am far, far away, my companions, and the clouds are hiding the hills from my eyes.
The valleys are becoming flooded with an ocean of silence, and the hands of oblivion are engulfing the roads and the houses;
The prairies and fields are disappearing behind a white specter that looks like the spring cloud, yellow as the candlelight and red as the twilight.
The songs of the waves and the humans of the streams are scattered, and the voices of the throngs reduced to silence;
And I can hear naught but the music of eternity in exact harmony with the spirit's desires.
I am cloaked in full whiteness;
I am in comfort;
I am in peace.

We will miss you Kevery. We are missing you.

Pick Click Give

Deadline is March 31st, 2012

The Alaska Permanent Fund application time is now and there is no easier way to remember and support your favorite non-profit. When you file your application online you can also Pick, Click and Give to your local radio station.  KHNS is one of the many charitable organizations you will find when you file for your PFD.

In 2011 KHNS received $1050 in contributions that went directly towards a new production computer for the KHNS newsroom. Our radio station is a nuts and bolts operation, comprised of many moving parts that need tender care. This year we are hoping to double our gift amount to assist in ongoing projects at KHNS. More information when you file at http://www.pfd.state.ak.us

Deadline is March 31st, 2012
