KHNS is listener supported, community based public radio serving Alaska's northern panhandle communities. A National Public Radio affiliate and a member of the Alaska Public Radio Network, KHNS provides a wide array of live, local and nationally syndicated programs for residents and visitors to the region.

KHNS began operating in 1980, under the banner of Lynn Canal Broadcasting, Inc., a federally recognized non-profit organization. It is our mission, "…to inform, educate, enlighten and entertain." We broadcast 24 hours a day at 102.3 MHz or 91.9 MHz with news, music and public affairs programming to suit the needs of a diverse listening audience.
